Growing up, I've seen members of both sides of my family suffer from crippling health issues. Diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, neuropathy, and side effects of poor posture and poor diet. And this is just the list of what I'm aware of.

The goal started with me. Getting myself to a point where my body and health were in tune, and every doctor's check up ended in positive feedback became the goal.

That's the same goal and standard I have for all of my clients. To be motivated to live a better quality of life. Even if all you need is a quick boost and a little bit of knowledge to get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

Weight loss and muscle building varies, depending on genetics and how drastically we need to change your eating habits. A change from artificial, processed foods to more simple ingredient food (along with proper carb cycling) will make a BIG difference in weight loss. Once you lose your body fat, your lean muscle mass will catch up and reveal itself.

First things first. The scale will be the most deceptive encounter you experience along this journey. The scale not moving could mean a multitude of things. Either adjusting our workouts to movements your body isn't used to; adjusting our daily protein/carb intake; or…you're actually gaining MUSCLE, and now the scale is reading different because you've replaced your body fat with lean muscle mass.

When we do strength training exercises, there are major muscles worked and secondary muscles worked. For example: if you're doing any pressing motions, you'll feel a second burn in your triceps/frontal delts. That's because those are the secondary muscles being used/worked during that motion. Now, if you're doing an upper body workout and feel it in your lower body or vice versa, that could be a form correction issue. Your body could be ‘compensating’ to lift the weight and we need to change that.

Not necessarily. This is where the science behind strength training and body building get a little detailed. When dealing with free weights/machines, you can develop a ton of strength without developing a ton of muscle. When it comes to muscle development, that comes with a specific training style and program. Now we're diving into super sets (primarily with cables involved), nutrition, and really getting into those ‘micro-tears’ that (through proper rest days) eventually develop into big muscles. It's a lot of detailed work. Unless that's your specific goal (muscle growth), you have nothing to worry about!

You can if you'd like! Our training sessions will involve a light warm-up, if not a ‘warm-up’ set to get the muscles activated before putting any real pressure on them. We can also develop a personalized warm-up routine that you can perform before every session.
